Federal DOT Compliance Services

The Department of Transportation compiles a checklist that all trucking companies must conform to. This includes items such as ensuring the driver carries certain documents in the truck with them, completes the right inspections and physicals, records hours of service, marks DOT numbers on the trucks and much more. While crucial to your business operations, we understand how easily your DOT compliance can slip through the cracks. Whether you’re a trucking contractor or the owner or manager of a trucking fleet, you must ensure your fleet stays within the DOT compliance standards to avoid being put out of commission. Innovative Logistics Compliance Services will be there with you and your company to guide you through the ever-changing regulations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

COMPLIANCE SERVICES

Complying with DOT standards means operating safer trucks and following laws set by your state’s Department of Transportation. DOT compliance standards are constantly evolving and even differ by state. That’s why it’s important to stay up to date with these regulations and standards, and further, know which standards apply to your fleet. One way of staying up to date would be performing safety audits on your vehicles.

Violating DOT standards can cost trucking companies more than just a great amount of money if found to be in violation. It could cost you drivers, customers or even your business as a whole. Innovative Logistics is here to help!

US DOT, MC, BOC3

The Standard Package includes the $300 Federal filing fee, the generation of a new MC number for your Motor Carrier Authority, the generation of a new USDOT number (or USDOT update if you already have a USDOT number), and the required BOC-3 filing (Designation of Process Agents).

Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortium

Random drug testing programs are required for employers regulated by the United States Department of Transportation (DOT). If you are an owner-operator, you are required to be enrolled in a consortium random drug testing program.

Smaller DOT-regulated employers may also elect to enroll in a consortium random drug testing program for easy compliance. Larger DOT-regulated employers typically request a stand-alone DOT random testing program.

BOC3

The BOC-3 (Designation of Agents for Service of Process) is one of the requirements to secure operating authority and maintain an active interstate operating status! In fact, all truckers for hire, brokers, or freight forwarders must have a BOC-3 form filed with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) before their Authority will be issued.

Premium Authority Setup

The Premium Plus Package includes the $300 Federal filing fee, the generation of a new MC number for your Motor Carrier Authority, the generation of a new USDOT number (or USDOT update if you already have a USDOT number), the required BOC-3 filing, the UCR (Unified Carrier Registration) for the current year, all four state highway use tax permits (New York HUT, KYU Number, New Mexico Weight Distance, and Oregon Weight Distance, and the USDOT Drug and Alcohol Consortium Setup.

MCS 150 Update

The biennial update is a requirement set by the FMCSA to update your MCS-150 Form (also called the Motor Carrier Identification Report). Also if you need to make changes such as address and phone numbers, you will need it filed correctly.

UCR Unified Carrier Registration

The Unified Carrier Registration is a registration required for most interstate carriers as well as brokers and freight forwarders. The UCR is a major source of revenue for state DOT safety and compliance programs. The fees are determined by fleet size with brokers and freight forwarders on the minimum fee bracket.
